PIX Martial Art Centre is the most dynamic combative and Martial Art school in St Albert and North Edmonton, with comprehensive training in four top-rated programs of Muay Thai Kickboxing, Mixed Martial Arts (MMA), Tae Kwon Do and Jiu-Jitsu /Grappling for adults as well as youths. We also offer a combined kickboxing and Tae Kwon Do classes for parents who wish to train with their children. In addition, we offer two of the most effective fitness classes with proven results in as short as 12 –30 training days. They are Six Pack Core EX-Treme and MMA Fitness System classes.

Mixed Martial Arts

PIX Mixed Martial Arts (MMA)
Our training space, including grappling mats, punching bags, boxing ring, conditioning equipment, focus pads, thai pads, tires...everything you need for top level training.
Teaches students real MMA ring training, instructed by MMA players from KOTC. MMA is a  combat contest that allows a wide variety of fighting techniques. MMA player draws their experiences from BJJ, Wrestling, Muay Thai, Boxing...etc, to used in contest.

Tae Kwon Do

PIX Taekwondo is a traditional and sport version of ancient Korean art of self-defense, which combines physical prowess with mental and emotional discipline.

Taekwondo is not only a superior art of self-defense, but of the mind as well. It gives its practitioners self-confidence that provides an advantage over opponents. With its practical means of self defense, its complete regiment of physical conditioning, and its aid to improved concentration and mental performance, Taekwondo offers a total fitness program integrating body, mind and spirit.

Muay Thai / Kickboxing

Muay Thai - Master in the ring
PIX Kickboxing is a form of kick boxing similar to boxing but also allows strikes with the feet, elbows, and knees. It origin is traced back to Thailand.

 Muay Thai distinguishes itself from western kickboxing and other standup martial arts by 3 things: the clinch, the Thai low kick and the Thai roundhouse which the entire body rotates from the hip and the leg is straight and"locked" just as it makes contact with the opponent. These techniques are complemented with the extensive use of knees and elbows.

Jiu-Jitsu

kickboxing, teakwondo, Butts and Guts, Six Pack, Jiu-JitsuJiu-Jitsu promotes the principle that a smaller, weaker person using leverage and proper technique can successfully defend against a bigger, stronger assailant using joint-locks and chokeholds to defeat an opponent.

Jiu-Jitsu can be trained for self defense, sport grappling tournaments and mixed martial arts (MMA) competition.

SIX PACK  - "THE SOLUTION"

September 8th 2010 - Six Pack classes will start in St Albert, and  at Canadian Military Base (Garrison Edmonton) Gymnasium.  

Six Pack Statistics over 2.5 Months period:


Biggest Weight Loss  
- 45.2lbs

Most Strength gained
- Started with 1 push-up and increased to 25 regular Push-ups.                                 
- Started at 1/2 pull-up, and finished at 10 pull-ups. 

Most size reduction     
- 4.5 sizes reduction.
